Second release in our sour series!
Our take on a traditional Gose.
Originating from Goslar, Germany, this beer is in the family of traditional sourweisses.
Brewed with pilsner malt, 50% wheat malt and rye to give it a straw-like colour, slight hazy body and gentle spice. Soured with Lactobacillus then warm fermented with Kveik yeast to provide a slight tartness and fruity aroma. Additions of coriander deliver lemon and floral notes and salt is added to mimic the water table of the Gose River.
Light, bright and refreshing, Gose is a style that’s suitable for any time of day and is equally at home standing alone or matching up with a meal.
In order to avoid any cross contamination, we dedicated one of our tanks to our sour program. This ensures that our sours are sour but our other beers are not. To avoid contamination on our packaging lines, this beer will be draught only. So you’ll have to come down to the tasting room to try it.
